Now where did I park the Zodiac?

As you can see from weatherpixie it is wet wet wet...
It has been raining non stop since 07:00 and it is 12:03, seriously folks I do believe I need a Zodiac to go about my business today! By rain I mean torrents, not soft and gentle but not like a cloudburst just buckets and buckets of water! This is reminding me of 1988's flood weather, it also started with good rains that fell over a two month period and then it really started raining, we though we were having a repeat of Noahcian times... here we go again... more to follow.

Some rubber duck...

Spats between dogs and cats

Nicely summed up by Tuning Spork.
As an ardent reader of the Nicedoggie I am amazed to see a supposedly fellow conservative get her knickers in a twist over some choice words... What was she thinking? This is the blogosphere and if you do not like what someone types on their blog just don't go there again, no need to do a Islamofacist tantrum like the cartoon issue! Oh by the way it seems she sucks her thumb even better than I do... Well this cat lover will be sauntering over to the Rottie much more than over to the dumb blonde cat... Damn, that is so insulting to blondes and cats! My apologies...
Oh by the by if the lady in question ever reads this... ain't no way in hell you can threaten me like you did the Emperor!

This Friday's dumbass award! - We don't need a military

The video is on the Fox News video site... go listen to a numbnutt pacifist... I have run out of explitives here! Sheesh, and the guy gets paid by the taxpayer!

Little Things Mean a Lot, on the day I was born.

"Little Things Mean a Lot" by Kitty Kallen was the top song on the day I was born... and I thought I was a Rock'nRoll baby. Some more on the lady here;

Born - February 2, 1922 Philadelphia, PA
Real Name - Genevieve Agostinello
Marriage - Clint Garvin
Little Things Mean a Lotsung by Kitty Kallen. Decca 29037. This great record reached Number 1 on the charts on April 17, 1954 and saw a half year on the Billboard charts. Miss Kallen so believed in this song and in "Chapel in the Moonlight," that she financed the recording sessions herself. Her label, Decca, refused to pay for the sessions because they saw no commercial value in these songs. Little Things Mean a Lot was the biggest selling and most popular record of the Golden year 1954, when popular music reached its peak.

Little Things Mean A Lot:
Blow me a kiss from across the room
Say I look nice when I'm not
Touch my hair as you pass my chair
Little things mean a lot

Give me your arm as we cross the street
Call me at six on the dot
A line a day when you're far away
Little things mean a lot

Don't have to buy me diamonds or pearls
Champagne, sables, or such
I never cared much for diamonds and pearls
'cause honestly, honey, they just cost money

Give me your hand when I've lost the way
Give me your shoulder to cry on
Whether the day is bright or gray
Give me your heart to rely on

Send me the warmth of a secret smile
To show me you haven't forgot
That's always and ever, for now and forever,
Honey, little things mean a lot

Rift vally rumblings

Seems like the East African Rift Valley fault is awakening again, a while ago reports came in from the northern end of new volcanic activity and on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 22:19:07 (UTC) a trembler of 7.5 hit Mozambique. All the way in the Southern Atlantic Bouvet island had a rumbling on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 04:04:05 (UTC), I wonder if the two events were somehow linked? We humans tend to forget that this planet is quite active and is continually flexing it's crust.

Stupid Girl... Not!

Now I know why I always liked her music... Her latest release Stupid Girls is a very clever parody of girl celebrities and their shenannigans, not that she is a perfect angel but one thing is true... Pink does things her way and is not a follower as she states in the letter on her website. Catchy song too...
So I sign off with this thought...

If your opponent is quick to anger, seek to irritate him--Sun Tzu

I see the logic of that... so we need more cartoons...

I thought his wings were clipped or was I sleeping.

As I sit listening to Texas and Sleep it reminds me of someone... not here with me... damn Cupid.. . damn work overload...
Yeah ok... I still have a soft spot for Sharleen Spiteri... , I am glad that Red Book is another hit album for this group from Glasgow. Although it sounds that they may be heading for splitsville... a pity but I am sure it will not be the last from Sharleen, to me she will always be the soul behind Texas.

Sleep - Texas
(edited most of the chorus parts)

I think that you're the one

When everytime you call me lady
I don't know what it is
That makes me feel like this just lately yeah

Those heavenly calls
You knew I was on my own
Those heavenly calls
We stepped into the unknown

Let me sleep
So I can dream of you
Let me sleep
So I can be with you

What's a girl to do when she's alone
With you just tell me
And here we are again yeah acting
Like we're friends just help me

Hold me close, let me be with you
At least tonight, won't be misunderstood

Let me sleep
Oh let me sleep
Let me sleep so I can dream of you
Let me sleep so I can be with you
Let me sleep so I can dream of you
Let me sleep so I can be with you
Let me sleep (5x)
Let me sleep so I can be with you

So let me retire lest I expire from desire for the one I admire... crummy but yeah...
"There is a fullness of all things, even of sleep and love." Homer (800 BC - 700 BC), The Iliad

Where do you stand kuffar?

As soon as blogger gets better I will do the image posting, in the meantime I will join in my condemmnation on the attack on free speech due to the cartoon frenzy... I just hope some newspaper has the guts to print some of the islamist cartoons that are in worse taste than the Danish ones.
