Hate is a horse best left unsaddled.
I see a lot of people claiming to be christian (lower case for a reason) that seem to have unbridled hate for the situation they find themselves in the country.
Yes crime is bad and it seems to be targeting farmers, but the murders in townships are not as newsworthy are they?
As a Christian I cannot hate another person, no matter the colour of their skin.
The simple reason being thatb God so loved the world that he sent his Son to die on a Cross for us all, who am I to hate another in the light of this amazing love?
So I say to them "Hate is a horse best left unsaddled!" if you do get on it's back you will suffer more than you can imagine, hate breeds dark thoughts that cloud your judgement and make a person bitter, this bitterness will litterally kill you and steal all your joy.
Leave that horse to mind it's own business, God himself will use it one day in Judgement... only he can saddle up the horse of righteous judgement, when we try it becomes hate.
Maranatha!

May we pray this...
song every day.
If We've Ever Needed you - Casting Crowns:
Hear our cry, Lord we pray,
Our faces down, our hands are raised,
You called us out, we turned away, we've turned away.
With ship wrecked faith, idols rise,
We do what is right, in our own eyes,
Our children now, will pay the price,
We need Your light, Lord, shine Your light.
If we've ever needed You, Lord, it's now, Lord, it's now,
We are desperate for Your hand, we're reachin' out, we're reachin' out.
All our hearts, all our strength,
With all our minds, we're at Your fate,
May Your Kingdom come, in our hearts and lives,
Let Your Church arise, let Your Church arise!
If we've ever needed You, Lord, it's now, Lord, it's now,
We are desperate for Your hand, we're reachin' out, we're reachin' out, we're reachin' out
If we've ever needed You, Lord, it's now, Lord, it's now,
We're are desperate for Your hand, we're reachin' out, we're reachin' out,
If we've ever needed You, Lord, it's now, Lord, it's now,
We are desperate for Your hand, we're reachin' out, we're reachin' out
We need You now
Revive us now
We need You now
"I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications."

Flooded with thanks and praise...
This morning I had to go in to work before Church, decided to use Shrek but after unlocking the gate the dirt called, filled up the bike and then let the front wheel dictate...
After a while I stopped to take these pictures as they seemed to be appropriate with how I feel, blessed and flooded with God's Grace and Mercy.
Somehow this song just describes the joy and peace I have as well as the praise I give to God for his mark in my life.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.
7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity. Psalm 98 King James

Everything Glorious
Songwriters: LINDEN, COLIN KENDALL / WEIDER, JIM
Songwriters: LINDEN, COLIN KENDALL / WEIDER, JIM
The day is brighter here with You
The night is lighter than it's hue
Would lead me to believe
Which leads me to believe
(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me?
My eyes are small but they have seen
The beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
There's light enough to see that
(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
From glory to glory
You are glorious You are glorious
From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious
Which leads me to believe
Why I can believe that
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
From glory to glory From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious.
You are glorious. You are glorious.
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
1 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The night is lighter than it's hue
Would lead me to believe
Which leads me to believe
(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me?
My eyes are small but they have seen

Why I can believe that
You make everything glorious

You make everything glorious
And I am Yours

You make everything glorious

White Flag
"White Flag" Chris Tomlin, from the album Burning Lights
The battle rages on
As storm and tempest roar
We cannot win this fight
Inside our rebel hearts
We're laying down our weapons now
We raise our white flag
We surrender
All to You
All for You
We raise our white flag
The war is over
Love has come
Your love has won
Here on this Holy ground
You made a way for peace
Laying your body down
You took our rightful place
This freedom song is marching on
We raise our white flag
We surrender
All to You
All for You
We raise our white flag
The war is over
Love has come
Your love has won
Your love has won
We lift the cross
Lift it high lift it high [x8]
We raise our white flag
We surrender
All to You
All for You
We raise our white flag
The war is over
Love has come
Your love has won
We raise our white flag
We surrender
All to You
All for You
We raise our white flag
The war is over
Love has come
Your love has won
We lift the cross
Lift it high lift it high [x4]
I love this song... It describes how we should surrender to God and lay everything at his feet.

The theme song form MMC Karoo 2013
Genoeg is genoeg! Enough is enough!
It is time to stand for Jesus and our values and not to be afraid to proclaim who we belong to!
"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them."
Matthew 7:15-20
New King James Version (NKJV)
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19

You will never again wake up With silence in your heart
"Silence In Your Heart"
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
You will never again wake up
With your whole world torn apart
And I will be your shelter and
These tears will be your last
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
And I will be your shelter and
These tears will be your last
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
You will never again wake up
With your whole world torn apart
And I will be your shelter and
These tears will be your last
You will never again wake up
With silence in your heart
Who will be your shelter? Who will mend your shattered world? Who will wipe away your tears?
For me the answer is plain to see... Jesus my Savoir! So my heart cannot stay silent anymore!
Amazing how the lyrics echo the word of God and the music itself has this amazing uplifting beat that makes one want to dance and shout out for joy!
Sing to the Lord with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp. Psalm 147

When the world falls apart...
When the world falls apart,
I will hold you in my arms like a friend!
Great song with a lot of meaning, especially when we have a friend like Jesus! I know it is not a gospel song as such but when I heard it for the first time and then found the lyrics it was another of those songs with hidden meaning. Thank you Jeffrey Sutorius, aka Dash Berlinfor making great Dance music that still has meaning.
When the world falls apart,
I will hold you in my arms like a friend!
When the worlds unkind,
I will make you smile,
I will stay right by your side until the end!
Through the dark of night,
When no hopes in sight
When the walls start closing in,
I'll be your friend!
When the world falls apart,
If you should ever feel so broken that you can't go on,
When your world falls apart,
I will hold you in my arms like a friend.
Until the end...
When the world falls apart,
If you should ever feel so broken that you can't go on,
When your world falls apart,
I will hold you in my arms like a friend.
Till the end x 4
When the world makes you cry,
I will make you smile,
I will stay right by your side until the end!
Through the dark of night,
When no hopes inside
When the walls start closing in,
I'll be your friend!
If the world falls apart,
I will hold you in my arms like a friend!
Till the end...x 2

Blast from the past, glimpse of the future.
This song always reminded me of how wonderful God in all his Majesty is, I wonder if the song writer realized what he was penning?
Magna Carta - Lord of the Ages - Chris Simpson - 1973
Lord of the Ages rode one night
Out through the gateways of time
Astride a great charger
In a cloak of white samite
He flew on the air
Like a storm
Dark was the night
For he gathered the stars in his hand
To light a path through the sky
While the hoofs of his charger
Made comets of fire
Bewitching all eyes
That beheld them
Lord of the Ages, nobody knows
Whether he goes, nobody knows
Below a dark forest in caves of black granite
The children of darkness dwelt in oblivion
Betraying one another in endless confusion
But the Lord of the Dark
Had bewitched them
From time's first creation
The wise men and prophets
And all workers of magic
Had warned of the reckoning
The wind and the fire
And the plague of destruction that follows the path
Of evil
Lord of the Ages, nobody knows
Whether he goes, nobody knows
Far above the wide ocean and thundering rivers
Through the sun and the rain
The turn of the seasons
Rode the God of all knowing
While all around him celestial companions
Friends from the void before time was woven
Honour his crown with words of white fire
And carry his robes with light
Whether he goes, nobody knows
But in the peace of a valley
A young child was born
Filling the night with his crying
And an old man gave thanks to the lord of the ages
Who's battle is not with innocence
But the birds of the air were silent
Knowing that time had come when time was forgotten
The waters were stilled
The mountains stood empty
And the cities were deaf
Long, long ago
Enough
Cried a voice
And the earth was awakend
Poor and the rich fell to ring of the fire
Death and destruction rode out together
Turning the world to a funeral pyre
It was the Lord of the Ages - Gathering in the harvest
I thank the Lord of the Ages - Gathering in the harvest
Oh, Lord - Gathering in the harvest
Gathering in the harvest, gathering in the harvest . . .
And from the blood and the thunder of men in their dying
His eyes dark with sorrow
The Lord of the Ages
Gathered in his harvest
Gathering in the harvest, gathering in the harvest . . .
But to the old and helpless
The weak and the humble
To the children of light
His words of compassion breezed on them gently
Dissolving the darkness across the great valley that rumbled with fire
And from the death and destruction
The Lord of the Ages
Carried the fruit to the harvest
To freedom
Lord of the Ages, nobody knows
Whether he goes, nobody knows
Stirring words with a message of hope that always had an effect on me when I listened to the song, goosebumps and awe. The choice of words is amazing as well, so many of the words allude to the message we know in the Bible.

Chris Simpson and Nick Hall (Magna Carta) will tour South Africa in September and October and they will be performing in Bloemfontein on the 20th at the Vulture Club together with Lucas Maree. I hope to be there, maybe even to chat to Chris about this song. If I manage too I will report back.
UPDATE: The ways of mice and men prevented me to attend... maybe next time?
"If I had words like a hammer
If I had powers unreal
Then I would tear down Megiddo
And I would bring you songs of love
And every child of tomorrow
Safely in his bed could lie
And hate would die of starvation." Wish It Was - Chris Simpson.
