Lara Logan tells it like it is.
This needs to be heard and understood once and for all... from BGA... a brave journalist from South Africa tells us what we face as non believers.
The extremists base their hate on a book that condones and encourages war and evil.
al-Taqiyya is the practice of deception to further the aims of jihad. It is an ideological war between good and evil.
"Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it." - Hadith 5.59.369

The Arab Spring
... is working out very well so far...
And he laid out a vision for the post-Gaddafi
future with an Islamist tint, saying Islamic Sharia law would be the
"basic source" of legislation and existing laws that contradict the
teachings of Islam would be nullified. In a gesture that showed his own
piety, he urged Libyans not to express their joy by firing guns in the
air, but rather to chant "Allahu Akbar," or God is Great. He then
stepped aside from the podium and knelt to offer a brief prayer of
thanks.
This is what I expected to happen and it is going to happen in Egypt and all the other "Liberated" countries. It is the nature of the Islamic religion. It cannot change and become liberal due to it's dark origins.
The times we live in require us to make choices and to take a stand...
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[a] against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[b] 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36As it is written,
"For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered."
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Where do you stand?
While the world seems to be in shock it forgets how Hamas uses the funds it gets from outside.
The anti Israel block decries the support Israel receives in aid from the west but forgets to mention that the same amount of financial support goes to the Palestinians as well.
The crux of the matter is the application of this money...
Israel builds better facilities for it's citizens... the palistinians build tunnels to smuggle in weapons.
The Israelis buy seed and fertilizer for farms, the Palestinians buy fertilizer... for bombs and rockets.
Israel devotes it's energy to the upliftment of it's society, the Palestinians break down their society by perpetrating violence against Israel.
Israel leaves the settlements in Gaza complete with working infrastructure... the Palestinians blow it up anyway.
If you still think the Palestinians are being oppressed by Israel then you need to do more research on the matter.
By the way... the people called Palestinians are really part of the same people that live in the countries bordering Israel and have even less claim to the land they occupy... very conveniently forgotten by their countries of origin so that they can be used in the war against the Jews by the islamic nations.

Rough Men
"We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm." George Orwell (1903 - 1950)
Being a South African and an ex infantryman one relates to this quote a lot, our media is filled with reports from here and afar about all sorts of mayhem and in the meantime the politicians sleep, secure in the knowlege that a bunch of rough men are guarding them, not so the average joe behind his burglar proofed house or even worse the woman in her shack... methinks it is time for some rough men to wake up the politicians in their own beds.
Continuing the thread but in a more world wide vein makes me think of all the forces fighting Islamic terrorism, yes I am calling it by name, until the followers of Islam stand up and fight this blight on their name it will continue to exist. Gemany banned and actively prosecute any Nazism but hey it's ok to teach a 6 year old that bombing infidels or Israelis is ok if you are a muslim... Reminds me of;
"We can forgive you for killing our sons. But we will never forgive you for making us kill yours."
Golda Meir (1898 - 1978), Golda Meir to Anwar Saddat just before the peace talks.
I believe the people of this earth that have become victims of this most abhorrent terror feel exactly the same as the above quote... We do not want to but will if needs be take the fight to the enemy as the USA has done. Y'all out there that think this is about oil should read the Good Book, ah! but you don't do you? That is irrellevant in todays new age world... The devil makes those blind he has decieved.
"As close as we are today, tomorrow when we come back from that battlefield, we will be as close as two men can possibly be, sharing a bond that can only be forged in the face of imminent disfigurement. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother."
Jeff Melvoin, Northern Exposure, Kaddish for Uncle Manny, 1993
Comrades in arms... I feel for the troops in Iraq and Afganistan... I was a lucky one, never ever heard a bullet crack in anger, never ever had to kill an enemy but I saw things no young man should see. The experience made me realise how one has to depend on one another, later on as a section leader I learned that to lead was a responsibility not a right, having one of your troops silently lift the heavy radio off your pack and take it himself without being ordered is a humbling experience but you know that he would follow you to the gates of hell and back if needed. Thanks Guys!
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)
Ok shoot me for that one... but I agree 100% I Hope and pray that the resolve of the American people will stand fast and elect someone that has proven his ability over the last four years...
This was originally posted just before the 2004 elections in the USA. I still feel te same way today, 3 years later.
