God of wonders...

Truly he is!
Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Psalm 40:5

Google "DNA is a language" and be astounded.

Perry Marshal challenges Atheists with this amazing statement.“If You Can Read This, I Can Prove God Exists”
And He is not alone when one reads many of the articles found doing that Google search.
This proves to me that what the Bible states in Job 31 to 41 where God reveals himself through the natural world around us, from the Cosmic to the Microscopic. Now even the stuff that makes us who we are is telling us that God is the author of it all...

Awesome!

Just to show how awesome the universe is... a glimpse by photographer Daniel Lopez.
Makes these words from the Bible ring very true. Psalm 147:4-5 says "He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. Great is our Lord, and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite."

Seriously cool yet hillariously brilliant!

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck. For more information and to download the studio version of the song for free, visit http://www.LetsDoThis.com/stunts and http://www.okgo.net. Many thanks to Chevy for believing in and supporting such an insane and ambitious project, and to Gretsch for providing the guitars and amps.

I love it! Must have been the greatest fun to do this too!

Awesome...

flying Jetman!

Yves Rossy has achieved his dream of human powered flight and this was one of his best ones.
He has done pioneering work and the technology he applies is just mind boggling, from cutting edge composites for the wing to ultra lightweight turbine engines for thrust and the control systems. Truly a modern marvel of technology and mind.
Once again proving that nothing is impossible once you set your mind to the task. Although one wold think he has nerves of steel this is what he said the day before when he called off the flight...
"I have a knot in my body, sorry for that. I’m human."

Lifebook

Strange how one thing leads to another...
It started with a link to this amazing video of the Grimsvotn eruption in Iceland.

Volcanic Eruption in Grimsvotn, Iceland May 21 2011 from Jon Gustafsson on Vimeo.

The music on the video side tracked me to Veigar's site, some of the music is just stunning and to the producer Jon Gustafsson's blog where this video called "Lífsbókin" blew my socks off...

Of course I had to find out what
"Lífsbókin" means and that got me googled to the amazing idea of the Gideons at Lifebook Movement... Go there and download your own copy of this book/bible written as an outreach to kids of today, you may just be amazed to learn something new!
This "trip" across the internet also showed me something else as well that is so true of my life and many other Christians lives. I have experienced many amazing things, gone through many trails and survived because in the end I have come to depend on The Life Book that God provided for us. Thank you Father for putting things in place for us to be able to get to know you through the Bible, translated and printed in virtually every language known, this to me is another proof that you want everyone saved.
Thank you God that we can enjoy the world we live in as well and gaze in awe at your works.

By the way, here are the lyrics in Icelandic, when I get the english I will add them too.
Lífsbókin by BERGþóRA ÁRNADóTTIR
Ljúktu nú upp lífsbókinni

lokaðu ekki sálina inni.
Leyfðu henni í ljóði og myndum,
leika ofar hæstu tindum.

Svipta burtu svikahulu.
Syngja aftur gamla þulu
líta bæði ljós og skugga,
langa til að bæta og hugga.

Breyta þeim sem böli valda
breyta stríði margra alda.
Breyta þeim sem lygin lamar,
leiða vit og krafta framar.

Gull og metorð gagna ekki
gangir þú með sálarhlekki.

Found two more renditions of the song, I love the Icelandic Airforce Choir version too..

and this one by Ragnheiður Gröndal...

Blogging is also a form of Lifebook like a diary come to think of it...

Home is where the love is.

This is our own Galaxy the Milky Way, our solar systems home in the Universe. Home to an estimated 200 to 400 Billion stars, just in one Galaxy! There are an estimated 100 Billion Galaxies in the observable Universe.
God knows each star by name, (
He heals the broken hearted... He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.
Psalms 147: 3-4)
, each person by name ("See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands." Isaiah 49:16) and by inference each Galaxy by name. How amazing is that! That we, unobservable specks on an unobservable planet in an average Galaxy circling an average star on a speck of rock are known by name and Loved by the Creator of all.
I give the thanks o Lord for you are King of kings, Lord of all. May I always look upon your works and know your Majesty, may I never stop praising and glorifying your name.
Today I bring you a medley of quotes to ponder...

“The reduction of the universe to a single being, the expansion of a single being even to God, this is love.” Victor Hugo
“The reason why the universe is eternal is that it does not live for itself; it gives life to others as it transforms” Lao Tzu
“Everything is perfect in the universe - even your desire to improve it.” Wayne Dyer
“What makes the universe so hard to comprehend is that there's nothing to compare it with.”
“The creator of the universe works in mysterious ways. But he uses a base ten counting system and likes round numbers.” Scott Adams
The one I like best!
“May my soul bloom in love for all existence.” Rudolph Steiner

The Stethoscope

Enjoy! thanks to Donna... by the way KatieB is celebrating her birthday today, wishing her all the best and many more!

I think the quote I found is apt, through the Reformation that he started many souls have come to shout Hallelujah!
"My heart, which is so full to overflowing, has often been solaced and refreshed by music when sick and weary."
Martin Luther (1483 - 1546)

Where does reality stop?

Amazing technology! This makes me realize we live in an amazing age. One where reality and virtual reality seem to be merging into one. No wonder many people do not know what the truth is any more.
Yet one thing is becoming even clearer to me day by day, that is that God loves us and wants us to be his children and not to be blinded by what we hear and see in the media...
So even when we lose sense of reality and seem to get immersed in a world that is whirling by, seemingly out of control know that He is Lord and loves you.
"No suffering or tragedy will ever separate you from God’s love." (Romans 8:35-39)
