The rules are simple in this case, shame on all the boo'ers as well.
Displays of impatience and frustration like this have no place in sport of any kind. Bad sportsmanship should never be condoned at all.

... namely running the business. As soon as they bring politics or religion into decision making they are heading for a rocky ride from consumers. Case in point is ABSA with their Springbok rugby player quota demand and now we have Woolworths withdrawing religious and political magazines. Now I want to ask Woolworths CEO Simon Susman what about newspapers, matzos crackers, Christmas ham/turkey and halal chickens? Are they also going to be taken off the shelves too because they may offend certain customers? I leave with this thought... "MySpace to cash in on profiles20/09/2007 11:20 - (SA) Los Angeles - News Corporation's MySpace social networking site is using personal details contained on users' profile pages and blogs to sell highly targeted advertising, the company said on Wednesday. The website started the first phase of its "interest targeting" experiment in July, culling likes and dislikes from its users' pages to sell ads in 10 broad categories such as finance, autos, fashion and music."
After reading this report I am thinking of taking down my profile at FaceBook as well because they will be next to climb on the gravy train. I originally joined FaceBook because some of my family members here and overseas were also using it and sent me invitations to join... but the idea of me getting spammed while using it is just not on... so bye bye. Prepare to be scuttled... The same goes for the Google/Blogger empire... if I think they are misusing me I will just pull up my roots and move to my own domain... I have two and they are underutilised as it is... I have learned a few programming languages in the past and to host my blogs myself would not be a huge challenge... so be warned... tread lightly or I pack my bags and light outta here! I'm a cyber gypsy... G'night all... I am tuckered out after 3 physio sessions and writing 3 blogs in one day as well as witnessing our 20/20 team go down in flames and not qualifying for the semi's...
I am watching the 20/20 Cricket and the RWC... be back later... busy channel hopping. Cricket delayed by rain... Cape Town this time of year can do that... Now Duckworth/Lewis comes into play... Looks like Zimbabwe may just have the cat in the bag and beat the mighty Australia. And they did... by 5 wickets! Italy and Romania are slugging it out and my money is on the underdog Romania! Alas it was not to be... Italy 24Romania 18. On the subject of 20/20 here is a song from the Beach Boys album of the same name...
20/20 also means perfect vision, since I wear glasses I do not qualify but perfect vision could also mean that one has a sense of purpose and direction in one's life... something that has become clearer to me lately although the final direction could well be influenced by other events... time will tell. "There are two ways to slide easily through life; to believe everything or to doubt everything. Both ways save us from thinking." Alfred Korzybski (1879 - 1950)
I blame Patrick for this result! How is it possible? Me? the archetype nekkid cook like Jamie Oliver my hero! I love four things in life with a passion, well maybe more than four but the top two are my kids then Bikes and Cooking! This sucks...
You Are a Learning Cook
You've got the makings of an excellent cook, and the desire to be one. But right now, you're just lacking the experience. You couldn't be a top chef yet, but you could be an apprentice.
Clearly Blogthings has never had my Italian Meatballs yet, I am famous for them... I am peeved... Speaking of peeved, Blogger via IE is broken... I just cannot log in! Yet when I dropped a comment over at KatieB and gave my log in data I could access the dashboard... what is up with that! Thanks KatieB for letting me use your comments as a back door to my blogs, Firefox has no issues in this regard. I suspect it was the recent Java Update that Microfart insisted on doing... grrrrr. I was pleasantly surprised by my seamstress though... she fixed my favourite jeans as well as the two new ones I had splitteddowntheseam and my boxers I sometimes use for sleeping... sometimes things are not as well stitched as one would like and as the saying goes... a stitch in time saves nine. The total wa R36.00, works out to R6 per item! Now I must dig out all the other duds that need some love and attention, I love a pair of well worn jeans but some I have in my cupboard are not for public use any more, unless they can be made respectable once more... I hope so. Oh... by the way... "Bloemfontein - Wing Eddie Fredericks struck twice in three minutes to clinch the Free State Cheetahs' 44-18 (half-time 10-6) win over the Blue Bulls in an enthralling Currie Cup match in Bloemfontein on Saturday." What can I say... the White Tornado is at it again! M just let me know that the Cheetah Girls won their game as well... 15-11! (Doing a victory war dance!) Whoooo boy! L went to see Die Hard 4 and she enjoyed it... must be good then for her to enjoy a Man Thing movie! I may go and see it tomorrow if M feels up to it after his flight back from Cape Town. Either that or The Bourne Ultimatum or The Simpsons... I need a laugh or two. I also picked up a copy of Shrek3, the soundtrack and 100 80's Hits. Some good music on both albums... so I will exit with track 11 from Shrek...
What I Gotta Do - Macy Gray
Oooooooooh
Yeah, Girl a boy and a girl, Never thought I'd have babies, Looking up to me, Wanna give them all the world, Yeah, trying to make it, always gone, You say, mommy don't go, ooh ooh, And I don't wanna leave, uh uh (I don't wanna leave).
It's what I gotta do, There's no place that I'd rather be than there with you, It's what I gotta do to take care of you, Make it right, ooh (make it right, make it right) And I never make it, But I have to hope you understand the circumstances, I'll be there the second I get the chance, What I gotta do.
Yeah, only you can rely, Wanna give you the best of everything, So I miss some things, But you're always on my mind (always on my mind) Yeah, I'm gonna show you the world, But it ain't easy, ooh ooh, But I don't wanna leave you (I don't wanna leave).
It's what I gotta do, There's no place that I'd rather be than there with you, It's what I gotta do to take care of you, (oh yeah) Make it right, ooh (make it right, make it right) And I never make it, But I have to hope you understand the circumstances, I'll be there the second I get the chance, (I'll be there) What I gotta do.
Stars are in your eyes, The sun is in your flower, Easy to my churches, You show me what my purpose is, Girl, a boy, and a girl, Sweetest in my world (sweetest in my world) Hey hey, hey hey heyyyyyaaaah.
It's what I gotta, It's what I gotta, It's what I gotta take, ooooh.
It's what I gotta do, There's no place that I'd rather be than there with you, It's what I gotta do to take care of you, (a girl, a boy, and a girl) Make it right, ooh (make it right, make it right) And I never make it, But I have to hope you understand the circumstances, I'll be there the second I get the chance, What I gotta do. What I gotta do. What I gotta do. What I gotta do.

Yeah I know I am lagging behind but blogging is playing second fiddle to Life As We Know It... (a Blog title in there somewhere!) My previous blog mentioned a playlist that went down well at yesterday's MX race... and it brought us rain as well, fortunately it was not a Noachian Deluge and we could finish the races although we snipped about 8 minutes off each moto for the the last set of heats and then the heavens opened again... prize giving was a very intimate affair for those hardy souls that stayed for their share of the booty. We all squeezed into the clubhouse stoop and Anton's gazebo. [Reserved for pics!] As soon as our intrepid Chief Scorer Thea remembers I may post some pics... yours truly was too busy as COC to take much in the way of photos... although I do wish we had some of the Crash of Note, executed by Estefan, who had no clue where he was for a while! I never knew a human body could do such contortions and bounce like that without breaking bones... Those Angels need serious overtime pay. Now I know today's quote has little to do with Motocross crashes but at least it has "crash" and "bumpy" in it... so maybe there is a connection? in any case I loved Northern Exposure... wish it was on TV again. "Most of you have been where I am tonight. The crash site of unrequited love. You ask yourself, How did I get here? What was it about? Was it her smile? Was it the way she crossed her legs, the turn of her ankle, the poignant vulnerability of her slender wrists? What are these elusive and ephemeral things that ignite passion in the human heart? That's an age-old question. It's perfect food for thought on a bright midsummer's night." Martin Sage and Sybil Adelman, Northern Exposure, The Bumpy Road to Love, 1991
Saturday was our annual Guy Fawkes practice and braai... all I can say is I need a week to catch up with lost sleep... after playing "Time to say goodbye" by Sarah Briteman I managed to get away at around 2AM Sunday morning... and the guys who were going to sleep over were still awake around the fire... I wonder if they ever slept! The main thing is that after the weeks good rain and Anton's efforts with the tractor the riders all had an awesome practice... and then had an awesome party... I forgot what I played or how many, will try to ressurect the playlist and add it here sometime... meantime I have to get to bed to face Monday!
BBC NEWS World South Asia Asia's newest sport - yak skiing This quote was so funny I just had to use it as a blog. Seems like Yak Skiing may be fun... not much diffrent than Bungee jumping or Snowboarding down a glacier, I may just add it to my todo list! Speaking of latest sport, this weekend we have our first MotoQuad races, I hope it goes down well and everyone has a good dose of dirt racing fun. mmm Sometimes Quads remind me of a Yak let loose and just as unpredictable. Personally I prefer two wheels... much more predictable when one parts company in a moment of error... Today was awe inspiring, another medal at the Olympics and proof that Africa is not for sissies, we grow 'em tough! Although we won't be ranking top ten I do believe we are puting up a fine performance in Athens. Just a short one today, maybe only published by Saturday due to time constraints, got to be at the track before 7 am for some serious track building... just hope more rain falls as the track needs all it can get. All this reminds me of Bonnie Tyler and Holding on for a Hero... here is the chourus: I need a hero I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night He's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fight I need a hero I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light He's gotta be sure And it's gotta be soon And he's gotta be larger than life So here is to our heroes in Athens and hopefully tomorrow our Rugby heroes in Durban and all the heroes that have come to the party by helping us out tomorrow. **Nurture your mind with great thoughts; to believe in the heroic makes heroes.** Benjamin Disraeli (1804 - 1881)
