Worth?

So when you convert to Rands that means R3838.87, give or take a few Rand... Why do we value everything in monetary terms? I think one should be valued in Hugs & Kisses... I was at my therapist today and realise we put far to much value on what we earn and how much we are worth to our employers than our loved ones...
