A short poem I cobbled today after looking at some amazing stuff on Apod and Life, to me it is a wonderous thing that all living things are governed by just four nucleotides arranged in such a myriad of diffent life patterns, surely no one can doubt that God exists?
Numbered Four - Robert Le Noury
Twenty seven letters and eight notes
does poetry and music make.
All these words we say,
all the notes we play,
to give meaning to our longing,
to make clear the desire,
of love and life,
of trouble and strife
never mixed never cloned.
How wonderous then!
When considering,
He made us of nucleotides
numbered four!
Keeping up with the four theme here are the lyrics of the day:
Greenfields - Brothers Four - Music & Lyrics : Terry Gilkyson - Rich Dehr - Frank Miller
Once there were green fields, kissed by the sun.
Once there were valleys, where rivers used to run.
Once there were blue skies, with white clouds high above.
Once they were part of an everlasting love.
We were the lovers who strolled through green fields.
Green fields are gone now, parched by the sun.
Gone from the valleys, where rivers used to run.
Gone with the cold wind, that swept into my heart.
Gone with the lovers, who let their dreams depart.
Where are the green fields, that we used to roam ?
I'll never know what, made you run away.
How can I keep searching when dark clouds hide the day.
I only know there's, nothing here for me.
Nothing in this wide world, left for me to see.
Still I'll keep on waiting, until you return.
I'll keep on waiting, until the day you learn.
You can't be happy, while your heart's on the roam,
You can't be happy until you bring it home.
Home to the green fields, and me once again.
My restore task is progressing, tonight I should have CCR, and most of my '60/'70/'80's music back from my various CD compilations. Have you ever seen the rain is quite apt as we are having a shower as I type this up. By the way, the link goes to the website of Creedence Clearwater Revisited, a group playing CCR's music in the original style and seem to be wowing the audiences.
Something I agree with exept when you are out in the sun, then one is a neccessary evil...
