As time flies

Someone who's music I have always liked and who is a year younger than I am... I had always thought he was a kid of the '60's no the '50's! Our generation made some of the best music ever! The last time I wrote about him I did not know I was about to meet someone special... strangely enough his birthday is in the same month that we became US...

If I Was
If I was a better man
Would fellow men take me to their hearts
If I was a stronger man
Carrying the weight of popular demand
Tell me would that alarm her
I'd never harm her at all
If I was a soldier
Captive arms I'd lay before her
If I was a sailor
Seven oceans I'd sail to her
If I was a wiser man
Would other men reach out and touch me
If I was a kinder man
Dishing up love for a hungry world
Tell me would that appease her
I want to please her again
If I was a painter
I'd paint a world that couldn't taint her
If I was a leader
On food of love from above I would feed her
If I was a poet
All my love in burning words I would show it
If I was her lover
Her eyes in kisses I would cover

Come here my baby
Oh they can't touch you now
I'll keep you safe and warm
I'll never leave you at all

Come here my baby
Oh they won't touch you
Dishing up love for a hungry world
Tell me would that appease you
I want to please you again

If I was a soldier
Captive arms I'd lay before her
If I was a sailor
Seven oceans I'd sail to her
If I was a painter
I'd paint a world that couldn't taint her
If I was a leader
On food of love from above I would feed her
If I was a poet
All my love in burning words I would show it!
As to your question my love... as time goes by I grow fonder and I am till learning to be less shy.

The night is my companion

[via FoxyTunes / Sarah McLachlan - Possesion]

Went to bed and started listening to some music compiled for our first date to drown out the sound of the fans outside and this song caught my ear so I had to put it up for US...

Possession

Listen as the wind blows
from across the great divide,
Voices trapped in yearning,
memories trapped in time,
The night is my companion
and solitude my guide,
Would I spend forever here
and not be satisfied,

And I would be the one
to hold you down,
kiss you so hard,
I'll take your breath away
and after I'd wipe away the tears,
Just close your eyes dear

Through this world I've stumbled
so many times betrayed,
Trying to find an honest word,
to find the truth enslaved,
Oh you speak to me in riddles and
you speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath,
your words keep me alive,

And I would be the one
to hold you down,
kiss you so hard,
I'll take your breath away
and after I'd wipe away the tears,
Just close your eyes dear

Into this night I wander,
it's morning that I dread,
Another day of knowing of
the path I fear to tread,
Oh into the sea of waking dreams
I follow without pride,
Nothing stands between us here
and I won't be denied,

And I would be the one
to hold you down,
kiss you so hard,
I'll take your breath away
and after I'd wipe away the tears,
Just close your eyes dear...
I am still amazed by it all... you take my breath away... and you are the one...
Hopefully the beginning of year madness will soon level out to an acceptable pace and let me get some time to blog as well... I have a head full of stuff...

Cupid. You got me good this time...

Moondancer surveying the vista.
It has been around 7 odd months and I do not regret one millisecond of Us.
How one guy can be so fortunate to meet somone that is both best friend and other half is beyond me... all I can do is say thank you God and thank you E for being who you are and enjoying the things we share.
Must, bid the Morn awake!
Sad Winter now declines,
Each bird doth choose a mate;
This day's Saint Valentine's.
For that good bishop's sake
Get up and let us see
What beauty it shall be
That Fortune us assigns.

Welcome back Stiff

Shaun and Radek at the welcome back do at BORC after their epic trip from England on KTM 640's. They had us worried while being "up the creek" in on the Congo river for 5 weeks!
The bikes look in pretty good shape for a trip all the way from England to South Africa. I was amazed how little wear the front discs had... obviously braking was not an option... flat out all the way!
All I can say is well done guys, going out there and following your dreams is so inspiring to us all.
