Men are such losers

Especially men that leave a woman in the lurch like over at Scully's place. I think there is a special place in heaven for women that give up their babies for adoption when they realise that they would not be able to provide for them otherwise. There is a special place in hell for the loser men though.
I was going to finish my missive but after reading her story I think there is more editing to be done before I can publish it, I keep running across a blog or something on the Internet that spurs me to add more to it as these words I read have a way of making me want to add or redact the ideas I have. So bear with me as I apply some more time to the musings of a gentleman... it sort of has to do with being one.
Part of being a gentleman is to help when asked for advice or expertise and as a few people have asked me how things work blog wise I have cobbled a blog together to do just that. I hope RobC's Blogbashing Guide may be of assistance to some of those bloggers out there that are not as techno savvy as I am. I will be putting up the first guide on how to create a blog roll in Blogger using the Customise option. KatieB has been invited to join the team by the way. As a woman and newish blogger I think she will be a good sounding board for the blog and I am sure she has at least a hand full of questions too.
I leave you withe the lyrics from Mark Owen's song Child...
Sleep peacefully now my child
I hope that you go away
To a place where your dreams can play
Wipe all the tears from your eyes
There is a sky of blue
This is your time of truth

Like a bird high on the wind
May you fly away
Like a snowfall in the spring
may you cares melt away
Child, innocent child
our hope lies inside
your starry eyes
my innocent child

Hero, now that you are free
You have no need to fear
so go out and find your smile
Like a candle in the stream
May you float away
Like a feather on the breeze
May you blow away

Like a candle,
Like a snowfall
Like a feather
like a bird:fly away
Like a candle,
like a snowfall
like a feather
like a bird..fly away

Sleep peacefully now my child
I hope that you go away
to a place where you dreams can play

White lines are for sissies

I may be generalising a bit but 9 times out of 10 when some lunatic passes on the white line they have GP at the end of their registration... the sun washed out the picture and I had to snap very hastily to catch this act of senseless audacity!
This guy just made it past the Army Samel and the oncoming 18 Wheeler... we just braked and said a prayer that we would not get caught up in his stupid games. I hate that we have this type of behaviour, these drivers think they can pass anything as long as the other driver pulls over the yellow line.
I think passing another vehicle like this even when you do not cross a solid line should be prosecuted. One should only pass on the dotted if and when it is safe enough... drivers should not go left over the yellow either if the centre line is solid!
In fact the law actually states that driving over the yellow for long distances is an offence! The yellow line and road shoulder is there to pull over in an emergency or to give way under unusual circumstances, not for every Tom, Dick and Harry that flashes their lights to pass!
Anyhow... I survived another trip to Qwaqwa... once I have relaxed and gotten the nerves settled I may continue blogging...

Internetspeak

Or why people are too lazy to use proper grammar and a spell checker when posting on the Internet...
Today's Rockwood poses the question I have been asking myself lately as well, one sees this type of "speaking" on many blogs. The thing I have noted is that a lot of them are of the "Liberal" (read Moonbat) inclination. Rosie O'Donnell is one of them and she is supposed to be educated!
Is this a indication of the level of education or rather a affectation brought on by liberal inclinations? Or is it from smoking too much pot?
I am inclined to believe the latter...
It is just one of my many theories why we have Moonbats you see...

Time to get the brat with wings...

in the sights of my Barrett .50 sniper rifle.

Once again we are being bombarded with Valentines Day adverts... this is my uptake on the whole Commercial Cupidian Conspiracy. I need some depleted Uranium ammo, a good fire position and that will be the end of this critter... time to get me some cherubic wings... I hear they are quite crunchy dipped in chilli sauce.

Radicalism at it's best... PG18!

It is not often that one comes across a group playing your thoughts on a subject...

Oh... yeah... my first YouTube postin! Ahem, apologies for some of the language but this is the first time that I think it fits the song! Here are some of the lyrics, the rest are on their site as well as downloads for the song, please support em if you can. The leader Rich Ward also explains why they would rather you download, listen and then buy their music. I always knew performers sometimes got ripped off but this is just crimminal, maybe that is why their music is a tad aggro?

Open Season - Stuck Mojo
Music: Ward
Lyrics: Aborn, Nelson
String Arrangement: Eric Frampton

I speak peace when peace is spoken, But I speak war when your hate is provoking, The season is open 24-7-365, Man up yo time to ride, No need to hide behind slogans of deceit, Claiming that you're a religion of peace, We just don't believe you, We can clearly see through, The madness that you're feeding your people, Jihad the cry of your unholy war, Using the willing, the weak and poor, From birth drowning in propaganda, rhetoric and slander, All we can say is damn ya

My forefathers fought and died for this here
I'm stronger than your war of fear
Are we clear?
If you step in my hood
It's understood
It's open season

There should be Open Season on the music middlemen if you ask me.
Update I: Cross posted at Megalicious Mayhem... my resident madness.
Update II. Seems like YouTube is trying all sorts of shenannigans to hide this video without outright banning so I have put the url up in the title of the lyrics just in case.
"A change in the way that we, the music fans, get access to and discover new bands and music has been underway for a few years and now it seems like a revolution against the music business itself is finally on the horizon. This is a revolution that sees musicians, not the music industry, controlling the music we create and how our fans get access to it." Rich Ward

Restoration

Just a short one... this restore job of my mp3's is taking up quite some time and I have to tire out one hyperactive kitten as well if I have any hope of getting any sleep, but it is great having someone greet you after work.
Sometimes I get funny looks when I mention some of the music I like, Placebo is one such group that evokes this reaction... hey! What can I do! I am a Latent Hard Rocker. I love music, period. Sometimes you have to take the lyrics with a pinch of salt although there is a very strong message here, I hope that it gets through to the listener...

Pure Morning - Placebo

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breasts and all the rest,
A friend who's dressed in leather,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who'll tease is better ,
Our thoughts compressed,
Which makes us blessed,
And makes for stormy weather,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
My Japanese is better,
And when she's pressed she will undress,
And then she's boxing clever,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better,
My friend confessed she passed the test,
And we will never sever,

Day's dawning, skins crawling [repeat three more times]
Pure morning, [repeat this three more times]

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who'll tease is better,
Our thoughts compressed,
Which makes us blessed,

And makes for stormy weather,
A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better,
My friend confessed she passed the test,
And we will never sever,

Day's dawning, skins crawling [repeat three more times]
Pure morning,[repeat this three more times]

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
My Japanese is better,
And when she's pressed she will undress,
And then she's boxing clever,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breast and all the rest,
A friend who's dressed in leather

Coming back to restoration, I notice the work at our main building on campus has begun in earnest again, just a pity the steel fence that has gone up does not suit the architecture at all... As Dr Phill says "What were they thinking!" (pics to follow then judge for yourself-this blog will be updated!)

Jawellnofine

Looks like some people are "De Moer In" with Telkom, not that I blame 'em... Had my own run in's with these okes from time to time myself, getting billed for 2 grand's worth of "future" calls was one of them, fortunately the man in charge spotted the error and had it fixed, funny how a zero can look like 8 sometimes... Go check Hellkom for a good chuckle...

My last blog quote reffered to Northern Exposure,a show I rarely missed, probably because Janine Turner starred as the bush pilot Maggie O'Connell, she actually looked the part too! She also apeared in Cliff Hanger with Sylvester Stallone as well. It must have been the short hairstyle and the mole on her face... Must try and get the DVD. Funny how one sometimes has this "crush" on certain actors/performers, some more recent ones on my crushlist are Angelina Jolie and Shakira... awww come on ladies... its a man thing! Sarah Briteman and Belinda Carlisle also spring to mind... Oh and don't forget Shania Twain, no I am not talking about singing ability here, this is that something in the eyes... I have this thing about eyes... errrr and belly dancing and action women a la Lara Croft.

Well I got the flat track scores sorted, it would have helped if the riders notified the COC of number changes... must mention that next briefing...
Superman, Five For Fighting now playing on Winamp... cool lyrics;
It may sound absurd but don't be naive
Even Heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed but won't you concede
Even Heroes have the right to dream It's not easy to be me
Makes one realise that even heroes (not superhuman ones) are human, let's consider all our leaders tomorrow, realising that they are also fallible and need our support.
I am so sorry I missed the shows here on Campus, would have liked to have gone to see Theuns Jordaan, I love his songs, reminds me a lot of late Koos Du Plessis, our own Leonard Cohen.

Contacts from far afield

The internet is great, just been writing a E-letter to my niece in Umtentweni, her e-mail made me feel as if we were sitting on the porch watching the sea and having a great chat... damn I miss them... Must make a plan to get together this year. At least we have not lost all contact like some families do that spread out around the country or world.
Bingo... got my first contact from that online meeting place thingamabob... S sounds cool, quite a lady to raise 4 kids, I take my hat off to single parents, especially those that lost their partner to death. It is true, one never get's tested above one's ability, but then again one never knows one's ability until tested.
Tonight has been one of sorting out entries etc. for the drop off on Thursday, just hope we don't get grief about those two OE's that have done more than 3... I just cannot understand people that cannot read, will have to do a serious sms message next time.
This is the low side of the web. Got this by e-mail, now this pisses me off, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest each orifice of this sorry excuse for an example of homo sapiens.
Dear Belove In Christ,
It is by the grace of God that I received Christ, knowing the truth and the truth have set me free. Having known the truth, I had no choice than to do what is lawful and right in the sight of God for eternal life and in the sight of man for witness of God's mercy and glory upon my life. I have the pleasure to share my testimony with you, having seen your contact from the Internet. I am Barrister mary ann the legal adviser to late Mr.and Mrs. Bright Williams, a British couple that lived in my Country Cote D'Ivoire for 25 years before they both died in the plane crash late last year. These couples were good Christians, they so dedicated to God but they had no child daneil till they died. Throughout their stay in my country, they acquired a lot of properties like lands, house properties, etc.
As their legal adviser, before their death, the husband Mr. Bright Williams instructed me to write his WILL. Because they had no child daneil, they dedicated their wealth to God. According to the WILL, the properties have to be sold
and the money be given out to a ministry for the work of God. As their legal adviser, give all the documents for the properties, were in my care. He gave me the authority to sell the properties and give out the fund to the Ministries for the work of God.
In short, after their death, I sold all the properties as instructed and I was able to realized $10,000,000.00 (TEN million US dollars). Instead of giving the fund out for the work of God as instructed by the owner before his death, I converted the fund to myself with the intention of investing the fund abroad for my personal use. I was afraid of putting the fund in the Bank, because I have to give account to the bank on how I got the money. I then packaged the fund inconsignments and deposited the consignments with a security company.
I did not want the management of the Security Company to know the content of the consignments; therefore Iregistered the content of the consignments as Gold Bars. Now, the security company believes that what I deposited with them was Gold Bars.

I had encounter with Christ when Pastor Benny Hinn was preaching on television concerning Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5:1-11. After hearing the word of God, I gave my life to Christ and became a born again Christian. As a born again Christian, I started reading my bible and one day, the Lord opened my eyes to Ezekiel 33: 18 and 19 where the word of God says:
Yadda Yadda for another 10 paragraphs! What a waste of bandwith...
So if you know that you will use this fund honestly for things that will glorify God's name, then do urgently contact me back and the details will be given to you on how you will be able to receive the fund in your country through the security company. You should also forward to me your telephone and fax number for easy communication and to fax you the documents concerning the consignments. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

Yours in Christ.
Barrister mary ann.

I think you're a scum sucking, bottom dwelling algae eater! mary ann (sic). One type of contact I can do without thanks. I think these 419 scammers should be sentenced to listening to non stop Rap music for life.

Talking of music, Thomas Anders has had new hit here on OFM, Independent girl is still being played a lot. I have always been a fan of his as well as Modern Talking, so sorry to hear they have decided to go solo. Summer sunshine of The Corrs is moving up to the top, great to hear a song from this Irish group again. One song I love listening to is 8th World Wonder by Kimberly Locke, a very upbeat love song. Checking out the lyrics makes for a familiar feeling...

"Sometimes when you look back on a situation, you realize it wasn't all you thought it was. A beautiful girl walked into your life. You fell in love. Or did you? Maybe it was only a childish infatuation, or maybe just a brief moment of vanity." Henry Bromel, Northern Exposure, The Big Kiss, 1991
