FDA goes to the bitch that left her dog...

in a car this week. I mean woman have you not seen what happens when you leave a kid or dog in closed car in our broiling sun?
"Hoare said the woman apparently thought the dog would have crawled into the shade below the seat."
What was she thinking! Aparrently all she was worried about was getting to her personal trainer in time...

Update... this was posted on the wrong date but meant for Friday... so I have bumped the date to Friday.

Someone needs to understand FIFO

Australia's most senior Muslim cleric has prompted an uproar by saying that some women are attracting sexual assault by the way they dress.
What a complete idiot... these islamic retards need to be ejected from any modern society... send them back to the country they came from as they are clearly not ready to enter the 21'st century...

Why did he ever go to Oz in the first place? What does he contribute to the wellbeing of the population in general? I totally agree with the following;
Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Pru Goward said the comments could be an incitement to crime.
"Young Muslim men who now rape women can cite this in court, can quote this man... their leader in court," she told Australian media.
She added that the cleric should be deported for inciting rape.

I say send him back on the first freighter leaving for the land of the umma...

Definitions...

McBlogger has a cool definition for Net or Sys Admin's... Bunker Gnomes! I love it... They are the modern version of the BOFH... Hey I better shaddup... I am also one!
"Definition of a Bunker Gnome: The crew of men and/or women that work somewhere on this base and monitor all incoming and outgoing email and internet activity. They also are in charge what gets filtered through and what doesn’t, who gets internet connectivity and email, and who doesn’t, and when they will or will not receive it. They are without a doubt, THE most unpopular people on the planet, right up there with other controlling and narcissistic tyrants such as Saddam Hussein and my 7th grade spelling teacher."

Feeding the ego or trashing the kitchen?

Blogger Layouts Customization is quite tricky, I am playing with my recipe blog (title link) at present to learn all the features and potential problems before embarking on a conversion here... There are only 12 postings so far. I already have "lost" my neat title grapics... sigh. I will get them back when I learn to get the kinks out of my template, the niche to put them in must be there somewhere!
If you want to use the "Label" function it seems one has to "convert" to the new customised layout..

Pass or wait for it to drop?

One often has to make a choice and this one was dicey at best... but we made it. I just hope this skewed load reached it's destination!

Crunchy critters

Mmmm... that was a yummy flying ant... We have been having a lot of thunderstorms the last week and all these fat crunchy ants go flying about at sunset... such tasty morsels... Greedy Amber of course had to many... and the Man was not impressed at her deposit on the bathroom mat... at least she tried not to mess...

Getting ready for the christmas rush...

Snapped these two open topped Volvo double deckers on their way from Durban to Cape Town. They are for a sightseeing company that will use them over the coming Christamas season... they should be well run in after the 2000 odd km trip. I am plumb tuckered out myself even as a passenger it is no fun doing 800 odd kilos in one day and almost a full day's work!

Contentedly saving my content...

with spammers and other miscreants creeps out to deface and delete websites I have been wondering how to save my blog content to my PC. Blogger has one way but I found that using my trusty html editor Araneae I could save all the basic posts to one file. This does not save all the pictures though but seeing as I have 99% on disc already this is not a big issue. One can always Save Picture As any ones that you do not have on disc.
I was quite chuffed with my quick and dirty backup when I tried it... the only caveat is to set the amount of posts to more than you have posted, this is done in Settings/Formatting/Show, in your blog settings. Remember to make a note of this setting (usually 10) before attempting this then save the settings.

Then view the blog, in File you should see Edit With Araneae, oh before I forget... you will first have to download and install Araneae before doing this... I suppose if you have another HTML editor set up you could do the same. Araneae is very simple and I find it easier than most and better than Notepad for HTML. Back to the howto... load the blog in the editor and when it is done you can Save As to anywhere you like on your PC... easy huh?
Green = Blog Settings.
Black = Windows command Buttons or shortcuts.
"The first rule to tinkering is to save all the parts." Paul Erlich
Note to self... label yer postings asap and make a sidebar insert...

Tuesday Twit('s) - Aspiring muslim commits web rage...

What is it with them? Even aspiring muslims seem to be prone to violence... and they call it a religion of peace?
"The pair met in an internet chatroom called Yahoo, Islam 10 as both had an interest in the Muslim faith, the Old Bailey was told."

The Walls speak...

of discrimination against Israel and America... How come it is ok for China and Saudi Arabia to construct border fences/walls but when Israel does they are called an Apartheid state. When the US wants to do so it is infringing on the rights of the illegal immigrants.
What part of illegal and terrorist does the world not understand...

Wassaproblem then?

Patrick posted about this but I want to know what the problem really is, I mean...
As I understand the koran muslims should not even be taking part! So what is the problem?
As Patrick stated it is because the world revolves around muslims, didn't you know that!

FDA Award for this week goes to...

The SABC for strying to stifle free speech, as this all started on Friday they get the award.
"Johannesburg High Court Judge Zukiswa Tshiqi on Sunday morning dismissed with costs the SABC's application to have the Mail & Guardian (M&G) remove from its website a report on the blacklisting of certain analysts and commentators by the broadcaster.
"I don't believe that it is okay to suppress information or to hide information written in the report," she told the court."

Journalists should not be intimidated this way by a semi state owned institution.

Waltzing into view...

This is one of the roses outside the flat that I took a picture of recently...
and looking closer once again the resolution of my camera astounds me... an aphid was scurrying across the petal when I took the picture. I had not even noticed it when I took the photo...

It's a Jungle out there...

and Amber is the Tiger... The Man was outside using his Flashything when he saw her emerge from the plants... I was sleeping as usual...

Pretty as a pansy...

Pottering around using my Tripod and Macro setting I snapped these pretty pansies amongst the grey leaves...

Tuesday Twit - Illinois District Court Judge Charles Kocoras

In his default judgement for David Linhardt aka e360insight against The Spamhaus Project Ltd proved that the law is a twit, Spamhaus is on the side of the law against spammers worldwide and is in any case not under his jurisdiction... he should have thrown the case out with all the contempt it deserves... No links to the perp either, I do not wish him to recieve any hits at all on his pathetic attempt at a website... If he was legit there would have been other content but all there is is his rantings about how Spamhaus has cost him money... The sooner the US tightens up their inadequate laws against this dispicable form of "marketing" the better, the same laws that work against organised crime should be applicable...

On song for a win...

Stefan van der Walt from Welkom MX Club on his way to finish his 125 Open first heat... he went on to win the class for the day. Just a pity we had such a small turnout entry wise, this is the first time we have had a MX Regional without any 50cc riders...
Our spectator turnout suprised us as we thought what with the Semi Final for the Currie Cup we would be lucky to have any.
I just wish I had more time to take some pics of the Quads though,
Xander Norval put up a blistering pace and finished first, however we need 6 entries per class for a class to score for the regional championship... sadly we will only be seeing 3 classes worthy of regional status this year... Where have all the guys with brass ones gone?

At least I heard the Cheetahs vs Sharks game on the radio while we were packing up after the prize giving... Final score Cheetahs 30 - Sharks 14... shushi this week, biltong and fillet steak next week!

How can we make you cry...

is the line from the advertisments of FNB. Well you could have helped by linking my new Credit Card to my existing PIN on my Credit Card account and thereby sparing me a month of hassles with PIN's being rejected and cards becoming invalid. Come on how difficult is the small thing I ask? I just get so irritated when one has to be inconvenienced by illogical systems. I am sure I am not the first customer to have this comedy of errors to be inflicted on them.
This all started last month on the day I went to fetch my new card that would start working this month...
Error 1, the clerk activated something when reporting that I had collected my card.
Error 2 The next time I went to draw money with my then still valid card... "Incorrrect PIN" x2.
So the next monday I tootled to the bank and tried again... then the ATM purloined my card!
Popped in to see the manager and retrieved the card... he informed me that as the new yet still not valid card had been reported as collected the older card would not work at ATM's any more. So I arrainge for my new card's pin to be diverted to my post box...
Error 3 Today, in the time that my new card is supposed to work I try and draw money... no dice "card invalid"... So my new card and new PIN are worthless... thank you First National Bank! I am now reduced to a quivering tearfull frustrated wreck...
Hopefully next week we will see the new card replacement and two days later the PIN in the post... Then we do it all over again...

UPDATE:
My new card works... this still took 2 months to fix... FNB still sucks...

Tuesday Twit

I think this is a new catagory... henceforth I will expose a twit on a weekly basis. Before I do let me just make it clear that I am probably a twit in some other twits eye as well so before posting your twittering protest... think... take a deep breath... count to 20... yeah so maybe it is not such a good idea after all? Another by the bye...
THIS IS MY BLOG! :-) FIFO! as Adrian would say. :-)
Got a few ad hominems in my comments, wich I moderate for this and other personal reasons, from this charming character called "
imdougandirule" at his blog abode called "The World According To Me". Then I Googled his blog and noticed the sad fact that he has less comments than little old moderateding me...
Personally I do not care a rats gonads what he thinks of my views... they are mine and if you do not like what I say... find another sandbox... there are plenty out there on the internet. If you seriously think I am going to publish the type of filth you posted in my comments Mr imdougandirule you need a good therapist... may I reccomend mine?
