Watch it all...
Lord let me also be like the bread of communion.
"And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body."
Matthew 26:26

"If you’re going to make pronouncements about the contents of the Bible and the Koran, you should have taken the time to read them first. Once you do, your thoughts on them will parallel mine pretty accurately, if you are not insane." Neanderpundit

If you say so...
Your Personality is Somewhat Rare (ISTP) |
![]() Only about 6% of all people have your personality, including 3% of all women and 8% of all men You are Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Perceiving. |
Had to smile at this as this is how I feel at the moment... the weekend's National has smitten the party animal part of me... but it was a good weekend nevertheless. No one got seriously hurt... a few will be needing Voltaren for a while... especially in the Vets and Masters... pictures will be posted on another posting when I get around to getting the camera back from MoonDancer... without her there would have been none! Don't know what I would do without her!
"The art of being yourself at your best is the art of unfolding your personality into the person you want to be. . . . Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others." Wilfred Peterson, This Week (Oct. 1, 1961)

Wednesday whackyness
MizMinka has a Monday Meme thing going so I am borrowing it for Wacky Wednesday!
Were you named after anyone? Yes, My dad's best friend's name as a first name and my dad's as second name, I use part of my name as Blogname, the meaning of my first name is "Bright Fame" and the second is a Scottish Clan name. My brothers also have two names each. Sort of a family tradition.
When was the last time you cried? Sunday, when I realised how much I have to be thankful about in my life.
Do you like your handwriting? It is mine but quite unreadable if older than a week, I prefer typing.
What is your favorite lunch meat? Pastrami with sweet mustard... preferably Leroi's.
Do you have kids? Yes, two and they are the best! I am so proud of both of them. They are the greatest gifts God has given me.
If you were another person would you be friends with you? Yes! One has to be friends with yourself to be friends with other people.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? Occasionally, when it seems fitting.
Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, and I rarely get ill. My immune system is still in one piece, not so my bones.
Would you bungee jump? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in a heartbeat, I still want to skydive as well.
What did you have for breakfast? Wheatbix with milk and brown sugar.
What is your favorite cereal? Coco Pops! (Chocolate!) but it is a luxury, wheatbix is my staple.
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Yes if they have laces, otherwise they are slip on's or Bike Boots with Velcro.
Do you think you are strong? Yes, but I do not rely on my strenght alone, I have a helping hand that is always there when needed, thank you Jesus.
What is the first thing you notice about people? Eyes.
Red or pink? Red if I have to...
What is the least favorite thing about yourself? Procrastination! Need I say more?
Who do you miss the most? My Mom...
What color pants and shoes are you wearing? Grey cargo shorts, slip on ankle boots.
What was the last thing you ate? An apple...
What are you listening to right now? My mp3 collection... as I take a break from crunching numbers at work.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be? What?!
Favorite smells? Bacon frying, the smell of rain, coffee, the smells when MX bikes leave the start gate. Last one is a complex smell of petrol, burnt oil and damp earth... heavenly!
Ok, those are my answers, what you want to do with those snippets beats me, but it made me think of some memories and things I still want to do...

Conflict
"Whosoever may torment you, harass you, confound you, or upset you, is a teacher. Not because they're wise, but because you seek to become so." and thus spake the universe...
Been having a bit of tension at work and I was wondering why this was so and then I read the above thought on my sidebar. Call it coincidence if you will I call it a miracle as the words have made me think and in a small way made me wiser...
In the same vein I was saddened to hear of yet another suicide in our city yesterday, so often one is not directly involved when one reads or hears about these desperate acts, other times it is closer to home. I cannot say I know how such a person feels, even my darkest hour was but a short walk in those shoes. Being filled with God's love I cannot envisage such depths of dispair and all I can do is pray for those left behind with all the million questions as to why and how they missed the signs of darkness in their loved one's life. One thing I do know now is that we should be more aware of our neighbour's suffering. That one moment of reaching out may well be the lifeline they need before taking that desperate plunge away from life. That word, hug or even a smile may just be what they need to realise that live and they themselves have worth after all.
So, let us all become more aware of those that have conflict in their hearts that keeps them from experiencing the joy we are supposed to have.
