"MySpace to cash in on profiles20/09/2007 11:20 - (SA)
Los Angeles - News Corporation's MySpace social networking site is using personal details contained on users' profile pages and blogs to sell highly targeted advertising, the company said on Wednesday.
The website started the first phase of its "interest targeting" experiment in July, culling likes and dislikes from its users' pages to sell ads in 10 broad categories such as finance, autos, fashion and music."
After reading this report I am thinking of taking down my profile at FaceBook as well because they will be next to climb on the gravy train. I originally joined FaceBook because some of my family members here and overseas were also using it and sent me invitations to join... but the idea of me getting spammed while using it is just not on... so bye bye. Prepare to be scuttled...
The same goes for the Google/Blogger empire... if I think they are misusing me I will just pull up my roots and move to my own domain... I have two and they are underutilised as it is... I have learned a few programming languages in the past and to host my blogs myself would not be a huge challenge... so be warned... tread lightly or I pack my bags and light outta here! I'm a cyber gypsy...
G'night all... I am tuckered out after 3 physio sessions and writing 3 blogs in one day as well as witnessing our 20/20 team go down in flames and not qualifying for the semi's...

20/20
I am watching the 20/20 Cricket and the RWC... be back later... busy channel hopping.
Cricket delayed by rain... Cape Town this time of year can do that... Now Duckworth/Lewis comes into play... Looks like Zimbabwe may just have the cat in the bag and beat the mighty Australia. And they did... by 5 wickets!
Italy and Romania are slugging it out and my money is on the underdog Romania! Alas it was not to be...
Italy 24
Romania 18.
On the subject of 20/20 here is a song from the Beach Boys album of the same name...

[via FoxyTunes / The Beach Boys]- Cotton fields.
20/20 also means perfect vision, since I wear glasses I do not qualify but perfect vision could also mean that one has a sense of purpose and direction in one's life... something that has become clearer to me lately although the final direction could well be influenced by other events... time will tell.

WOW I have hit the Googlejackpot
with my wacky blog Megalicious Mayhem, it is ranked first!
Speaking of mayhem, what a week this has been, murder at the CWC, Maputo blowing up and the rest of the world pretty well going to pot at a rate of knots mon...
I think I will sit back and compile a list of songs to soothe the soul... while busy I listened to Nelly Furtado's new CD and this Porra Chick can sing dude! She always had a good voice but she has now matured from her earlier songs... so I decided to call the compilation "All Good Things" based on one of the songs on the CD, plus here are the lyrics to the title track:
All Good Things (come to an end)
Honestly what will become of me
don't like reality
It's way too clear to me
But really life is daily
We are what we don't see
Missed everything daydreaming
[Chorus]
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?
Traveling I only stop at exits
Wondering if I'll stay
Young and restless
Living this way I stress less
I want to pull away when the dream dies
The pain sets in and I don't cry
I only feel gravity and I wonder why
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end

come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?
Well the dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Die die die die die
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?
Well the dogs were barking at a new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon
And the sun was wondering if it should stay away for a day til the feeling went away
And the sky was falling on the clouds were dropping and
the rain forgot how to bring salvation
the dogs were barking at the new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon so that they could die.
