BBC ON THIS DAY 3 1957: Russians launch dog into space
This was an amazing chapter in the exploration of space but on the other hand so sad that Laika had to perish in the quest for knowledge, I believe we should honour our animal pioneers is some special way. Hopefully this little blog will be just such a tribute.
