Tuesday Twits or Am I poking the hornets nest?

I left the following on the Hamas webite...
Crusader South Africa
Exalted Above Nations
I agree with Urall, with the exception that present day palistinians are not related to the ancient Phillistines at all so they have no claim what so ever over Gaza.

Urall Dipshitz USA
Exalted Above Nations
I believe the Israel that should be recognized is the one that built the temple mount and temples long before the invention of a false historical Palestine on the West Banks. Its borders should be a combination of the ancient lands of Israel and Judah. You know, the ones that Allah gave to Israel according to the Koran. suras [ 17:103 & 5:21 ] with the City of David as its eternal capital. Palestinians should create their new country and live in their historical area of Phillistia or Gaza as it is now known today

abu yussif unoccupied palestine
and by the exact same logic, no one should worry if "israel" or the world doesn't recognize the palestinians. who needs it?

Al Aqsa sri lanka
well said.israel does not have borders and a constitution as the zionsits think they are some special choosen people who have the right to control entire middle east.

To Abu and Al Aqsa... you have no clue have you?

How many times

Tonight I was listening to my music and let Winamp have it's way with me... eventually I had to backtrack and compile a playlist of what it had given me, first up was Kate Ryan, Eurosong 2006 entrant and How Many Times, sometimes I am amazed how this bit of software can read my mood... but change it as well! Music tames the restless heart. Here are the lyrics...
How many times - Kate Ryan

How many times
How many times
How many times
Is enough?
Uuhh...

How many times do I have to rise

and fall?
How many times?
How many times hit my head against

the wall?

I'm breaking the border of myself,
It's time that I learned from
The mistakes that has made
This never ending circle
Of just heartaches.

Now is the time,
To get it together and shine
Try to figure out of
Who I am, and what I want.

How many times do I have to rise

and fall?
Once again defeated,
How many times hit my head against

the wall?
'Till I find the secret,
So many nights that
I cried a thousand tears
For the one who turned out
Not to be the one
How many times is enough?

So I'm alone here once again,
Now I can hardly feel the pain,
Anymore, I'm broken,
But not scattered into pieces.

This life is mine,
Just have to stand up and fight,
Try to figure out of
Who I am, and what I want.

How many times do I have to rise

and fall?
Once again defeated,
How many times hit my head against

the wall?
'Till I find the secret,
So many nights that
I cried a thousand tears
For the one who turned out
Not to be the one
How many times is enough?

How many times is enough?
Oouuh...
How many times
How many times
How many times

Is enough?
How many times
How many times
How many times

Is enough?

How many times do I have to rise

and fall?
Once again defeated,
How many times hit my head against

the wall?
'Till I find the secret,
So many nights that
I cried a thousand tears
For the one who turned out
Not to be the one
How many times is enough?

How many times is enough?

Another Eurovision contestant was Nicki French, I love her version of Total Eclipse of the Heart a song made famous by Bonnie Tyler who is a three days and a year older than I am! She sure does not look that old! Gemini's Rule!

Eros Ramazzotti always seems to be able to lift my spirits along with Andain (who are working on a new album!) and the rest of the euphoric Trance music featured on the list... Something else about Andain... one of the members, David Penner is a Rocket Scientist! "Like Mavie and Josh, music is his first love, although he has his undergraduate degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)." Awesome!
Summing up my thoughs... Today has been one of those rollercoaster days...
"A motion to adjourn is always in order." Robert Heinlein (1907 - 1988), Lazarus Long: Time Enough For Love

Go eat camel turds Haleema Hamza.

I got this wonderfull missive today by e-mail... somehow this bastard got past our spam filter...

Bismillâhi-r-Rahmâni-r-Rahîm,
Al-Hamdulillâhi Was-Salâtu Was-Salâmu 'Alâ Rasûlillâh, Wa Ba'd,
As-Salâmu 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullâhi Wa Barakâtuh,
Wasalaam to you,and how are you doing?. My intention of contacting you is
to solicit your assistance for a project, which will be mutually
beneficial. Though I know my decision to contact you is to a large extent
unconventional, the prevailing circumstances necessitated my action. I am
Haleema Hamza from Libya. I am married to Late Mallam Mustafa Hamza of
blessed memory was an oil explorer in Libya and Kuwait for twelve years
before he died in the year 2000. We were married for twelve years without
a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.
Before his death we were both devoted Muslims. Since his death I too have
been battling with both Cancer and fibroid problems. When my late Husband
was alive he made a huge deposit in millions of US dollars with a Deposit
Company in oversea. (I will tell you the amount as we proceed).
Recently, my doctor told me that I have only six months to live due to
cancer problem. Though what disturbs me most is my stroke sickness. Having
known my condition I decided to donate this fund to either a Muslim
organization or devoted Muslim individual that will utilize this money the
way I am going to instruct herein. I want this Muslim organization or
individual to use this money in all sincerity to fund mosques, orphanages,
widows, and also propagating the word of ALLAH and to ensure that the
society upholds the views and belief of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran
emphasizes so much on ALLAH'S benevolence and this has encourage me to
take the bold step. I took this decision because I don't have any child
that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are into some
radical Organizations and I don't want a situation where this money will
be used in an Unholy manner. Hence the reasons for this bold decision. I
know that after death I will be with ALLAH the most beneficent and the
most merciful. I don't need any telephone communication in this regard
because of my health, because of the presence of my husband's relatives
around me always. I don't want them to know about this development.
With ALLAH all things are possible(second Sura,( verse 257) which says:
"There must be no coercion in matters of faith").As soon as I receive your
reply on Email: hamza.haleema@personal.ro, I shall give you the contact
information of the Deposit Company in oversea where the money was
deposited. I will also issue a letter of authority to the Deposit Company
authorizing them that the said fund Have being willed to you and a copy of
such authorization will be forwarded to you.
I want you and the Muslim community where you reside to always pray for
me. My happiness is that I lived a true devoted Muslims worthy of
emulation. Whoever that wants to serve ALLAH must serve him in truth and
in fairness. I will not stipulate any precise amount to reward you, as it
will have to be on pre-negotiated terms, based on your level of
involvement. Please always be prayerful all through your life. Any delay
in your reply will give room in sourcing for a Muslim organization or a
devoted Muslim for this same purpose. Until I hear from you by email, my
dreams will rest squarely on your Shoulders.
"And I (Allah) did not create jinns and humans except that they worship
Me(alone)"
Qu'ran 51:56
May the Almighty ALLAH continue to guide and protect you.
Allah Hafiz.
Haleema Hamza.

Ethics? What about abortion you morons?

When this bunch of righteous morons criticise the unethical murdering of unborn children then they will have the right to go after Dr Basson, who as far as I could establish has quite a big number of patients that swear by him. I really think this is a witch hunt of ethical proportion...

Digg is digging it's own grave...

by letting this happen. I for one will never use Digg, especially after this episode. I am not even going to post the link but let you see the wiki about it... speaking of Wiki...
This is similar to what is happening on Wiki with anything related to islam or Cuba. The pro islam/cuban contributors are online 24/7 monitoring these articles and as soon as the correct information gets posted it gets changed again. This is one of the dangers of the Internet and open forums. You always get hijacked... just like South Africa really so that is why I feel so at home on the web... it is just like walking down to the mall...
I could get mugged, knifed, shot, or get there in one piece, it just depends what moonbat is out at that hour...

See the yellow spot...

way up the mountain? That was one of the Marshall points on the route for the Rouxville 200 off road race.

Being MSA Steward afforded me more time to take pictures, here is the Bike Start at 09:30, 56 bikes entered

Kenny screwing his eyes shut from the glare of a scorching sun!
And this was the Quad Start at 13:30, 67 quad entries in all. Minus the one dude that had no racing kit!

Last quad home was at 17:25. To Sarel, Ria and all the other organizers and sponsors, job well done. The venue was 100% better than last year and the route was well marked as usual, technical but not dangerous, the average speed of both the leading Quad and Bike was well within the 60 Kph target. To all the Welkom riders... grow some! This is off road racing, not flat track or drags! Here one can see the dust trail of one of the quads negotiating the trail down the first leg.
And this was the same guy approaching the pit section... still going flat taps, balls to the wall!

A dedication Cross for Elmer Symonds was also present during the race and prizegiving, it will be at each of our regional events, thanks guys this is a wonderful memorial to a bloke that lived for the sport.
After the racing the dam became a good spot to relax and cool down in after a very hot and hectic days racing.
All in all a great event and I am looking foreward the the Mayaputi 200 next month... but as I will be scoring there will not be much time for picture taking.
"Dedication is not what others expect of you, it is what you can give to others." Unknown

I found this over at the link;
"With the conclusion of the war in 1865 the Peace Democrats were thoroughly discredited. Most Northerners believed, not without reason, that Peace Democrats had prolonged war by encouraging the South to continue fighting in the hope thatthe North would abandon the struggle."

Straight Laced and bare feet...

I always though it meant exaggeratedly proper but over on Ian's shoelace site I found out that it was the method I used to lace my army boots, with my own twist though. I used this method but made a knot that kept one end of the lace under the first eyelet and then wound the free end of the lace around the top of my boot and tucking the end under this loop. It made for quick tying of the laces and gave a comfortable but firm grip that never came loose. My mates were always amazed at how fast I could get my boots on or off... the only times I never took them off was out on patrol, then one slept with your boots on... no wonder I like going barefoot.

I quess that makes me a Barefooter. On that subject, here is a song from Barefoot... the band that is... the song Rain reminds me of the rain we had today, I hope we get some more...
I see you I'm running But I don't know my way I'm so afraid to tell you All I need to say The heavens are falling And I can't get awayI'm so ashamed for leaving
And letting go of faith I see rain living without you It's not the same living without you again I feel pain living without you here I see rain I came here believing that I had much to give But all I had was illusions where do I begin I found as I tried to understand your words
There's nothing you should cling to If your heart's not in your hand I see rain living without you It's not the same living without you again i feel pain living without you here I see rain Facing honest questions Slowly turning me around Building up what's broken down
"Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking and can symbolise a way of living — being authentic, vulnerable, sensitive to our surroundings. It's the feeling of enjoying warm sand beneath our toes, or carefully making our way over sharp rocks in the darkness. It's a way of living that has the lightest impact, removing the barrier between us and nature."
— Adele Coombs, "Barefoot Dreaming"

Peroni, nice ad but you got your credits wrong!

Sitting watching CSI the Peroni ad came up with the song Baby It's You by the Shirelles (also covered by the Beatles by the way as well as Smith
), perusing the Italian beer maker's website I see they say it was done by the Sapphires... dead wrong dudes! I hasten to add that if they cannot get the group right thenn wat does the beer taste like? Nobody brews it like Windhoek!

I then did some Googling and affirmed my suspicions... the Sapphires never ever sang any Burt Bacharach
songs ever! Check out Songfacts for the composers and some other factoids.
The Sapphires discography proves my theory as well, The Best of the Sapphires and Who do you love were the only albums made by the trio. Sadly no Baby It's You is listed there... So there... my own Musical CSI!

Baby It's You -
Burt Bacharach, Hal David, and Barney Williams, made famous by the Shirelles and the Beatles

It's not the way you smile that touched my heart
It's not the way you kiss that tears me apart

But how many many many nights go by
I sit alone at home and cry over you
What can I do
Can't help myself
Cause baby it's you
Baby it's you

You should hear what they say about you (cheat, cheat)
They say, they say you never never ever been true (cheat, cheat)

Whoa, it doesn't matter what they say
I know I'm gonna love you any old way
What can I do, then it's true
Don't want nobody, nobody
Cause baby it's you
Baby it's you

Whoa, it doesn't matter what they say
I know I'm gonna love you any old way
What can I do, then it's true
Don't want nobody, nobody
Cause baby it's you
Baby it's you
Don't leave me all alone
I leave you with this gem... (Sapphires? geddit?)
"Marriage is based on the theory that when man discovers a brand of beer exactly to his taste he should at once throw up his job and go work in the brewery."George Jean Nathan (1882 - 1958)

UPDATE 10/03/07
Seems like there may be a new girl band called The Sapphires that got their break by singing this song for the ad... I still have to find their website and confirm this... the song sounds just like the Shirelles version though. My suspicions are still not satisfied that this was not a rippoff of the Shirelles. It has been done before... anyone remember those two dweebs called Milli Vanilli that won a Grammy and then lost it because they mimed the words other people sang? I still smell lutekefisk and not beer... by the way... SABMiller owns the Peroni brand now... more reason to drink Windhoek, a real beer!

But for the grace of God

there goes my daughter... I was checking out the news lately and all this craziness over Britney shaving her head and all got me thinking... I think all her family and fans should get on their knees and start praying for her because she is having a breakdown. The pressure of the media is a terrible thing, she cannot move without being in the lens of photograpers or from my view the jackals of the press. To me she is saying "You wanna see shocking! well watch what I do next!"
Maybe this is the idolarity of our age? With the true victims being the Idolised?

Britney Shears and other Crazy Yanks

What with Britney doing a Sinead O'Connor makeover (I also wear my hair, what is left of it, as short as Sinead.) and the chaos in Congress makes me think there must be a reason for the madness and by Jove, Adrian gave me the answer! Over on
Danette's blog on her valentine posting... It is Chocolate! They are on a Chocolate High! Here is the evidence... (open the map in a new window to see the % clearly)

This is from Zchocolate's site... stunning choccies by the way but as you can see from the map totally overpriced for us Africans an Ozzies, or maybe it is because we have better local chocolate? For example...
Orpheon ZAR 1,253.27 (45 pcs) = R 27.85 per chocolate! For that price I can buy a crate of Beacon, Cadbury or Nestlé Choccies!
Now I need a Milky Bar!
Why a Milky bar and not a Cadbury... because Cadbury's site sucks, not everyone uses Flash you morons! and because Nothing Compares to a Milky Bar! Here is Sinead's song Nothing Compares to You:

It's been seven hours and fifteen days

Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away

Since u been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose

I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing, I said nothing can take away these blues
'Cause nothing compares, nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby where did I go wrong
I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you

I went to the doctor guess what he told me, guess what he told me
He said girl you better have fun, no matter what you do
But he's a fool, 'cause nothing compares, nothing compares to you

All the flowers that you planted mother, in the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to give it another try
'Cause nothing compares, nothing compares to you
Nothing compares, nothing compares to you
Nothing compares, nothing compares to you

"Nothing shocks me. I'm a scientist." Harrison Ford (1942 - ), as Indiana Jones

What was the question?

You Are 4% Democrat

If you have anything in common with the Democrat party, it's by sheer chance.
You're a staunch conservative, and nothing is going to change that!

Important Need to Know Stuff

Some very important info on the ki4u site... take some time to get informed! Since the end of the Cold War Civil Defence has gone due to the complacency of many goverments;
"Instead, Homeland Security continues to be focused primarily on two missions:

1. Interdiction – stopping nuclear materials and terrorists at the border
2. COG – Continuity of Government for when No. 1 fails

The most important mission has been largely ignored:

3. Continuity of the Public – proven mass media Civil Defense training of the public that would make the survival difference for the vast majority of Americans affected by a nuclear event.

This tragic and deadly oversight won't change until the crippling myths of nuclear un-survivability are banished by the good news that a trained and prepared public can, and ultimately has to, save themselves."
Become prepared... no one else is going to be able to help you for at least two weeks!

Time to get the brat with wings...

in the sights of my Barrett .50 sniper rifle.

Once again we are being bombarded with Valentines Day adverts... this is my uptake on the whole Commercial Cupidian Conspiracy. I need some depleted Uranium ammo, a good fire position and that will be the end of this critter... time to get me some cherubic wings... I hear they are quite crunchy dipped in chilli sauce.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in love, just not the type inflicted by my Nemesis with wings! Been there, done that! So Mr Cupid you are hereby warned, you are fair game and in my sights.
So to celebrate the stupid season I decided to put together another Screaming Tangerines playlist with a twist in the arrow... but damn... ambushed again... while compiling the list I was listening to "I'll Surrender" by Calienda, vocals by Linn aka Linda Bredschneyder and I think I have an arrow in my heart! "Must, bid the Morn awake!
Sad Winter now declines,
Each bird doth choose a mate;
This day's Saint Valentine's.
For that good bishop's sake
Get up and let us see
What beauty it shall be
That Fortune us assigns."

Windows to the soul

The prettiest eyes on the planet... I can't wait for her new movie Resident Evil: Extinction, to be released later this year in September.

When I saw Milla in 5th Element I was struck, nay smitten, by her eyes. As previously mentioned, for me eyes are my Nemesis...
I think that having someone so cute looking playing such a kick ass heroine is the recipe for success for Resident Evil... So while busy re-categorizing my music collection I made a list of eye songs for The Screaming Tangerines, here goes;

Requiem for a namesake

I am researching my family history and Roux was a recent possible contacts that I was going to be following up shortly... To his family and wife Pamela, my deepest sympathy.
Once again words are not adequate. All I can say is he died doing something he clearly loved and enjoyed.

Chillingly hot

Blogging time has been rather scarce... what with not getting enough sleep (a book on it's own),getting last weekends MX regional up and running and work it has been way down the to-do list... maybe this weekend will allow me to do some updating...
In the meantime it is scorching hot... not abnormal though, it has been much hotter! Something to do with El Nino not Global Warming.
Saturday was one mad rush, as well as being COC, I had to grab a scoresheet for some of the races, without W as assistant COC it would have been chaos... All pics I got was during documentation before racing started.
So here I am, sipping lime juice with lots of ice and wondering what quote would go with "chill" and "summer"... voila!
"The bone-chilling scream split the warm summer night in two, the first half being before the scream when it was fairly balmy and calm and pleasant for those who hadn't heard the scream at all, but not calm or balmy or even very nice for those who did hear the scream, discounting the little period of time during the actual scream itself when your ears might have been hearing it but your brain wasn't reacting yet to let you know."

FDA Award goes to South African Parliamentarians of all shades

for showing up like peacocks at a ball... since when is the opening of Parliament a fashion show?
Even the leader of the ACDP was dressed in a lime green Tux!
Politicians are the bane of the citizenry...
At least some job's were created but the picture I got was "Here I am, flush with the taxpayers money!"

The trees will be glad...

to hear that the print media is heading for extinction and so will I. Kate's blog about the gnashing of teeth over at the New York Times made add my comment thus;
The print media used to give out the news of the day with an editorial comment... then they started putting their view on each news item and that was when truth left journalism. From there it was a downward slide and the Internet was the edge of the precipice. I do not see a way back up for them, neither is it a big loss, unless you like wrapping your fish and chips in the paper.
Kate's comment "It's not a war, Mr. Sulzberger. It's a revolt." is probably the epitaph of modern newspapers as we know them. Personally I don't give a damn if they recover from this slump or not. History will show that the media failed their prime directive and paid the price...

Fireworks panorama

Awesome! For more from Atti go to the site!
Todays quote brings things of nature into perspective as well...
"You think Nature is some Disney movie? Nature is a killer. Nature is a bitch. It's feeding time out there 24 hours a day, every step that you take is a gamble with death. If it isn't getting hit with lightning today, it's an earthquake tomorrow or some deer tick carrying Lime disease. Either way, you're ending up on the wrong end of the food chain."
